As a young boy growing up in Northwest Georgia I loved taking rides with my Grandpa on his trusty John Deere tractor. I created this painting as a remembrance of youthful days gone by.
I began with one of my favorite Bob Ross skies consisting of Ochres, Burnt Sienna and Indian Yellow over Liquid White. The dirt road was done using the Palette Knife.
Assorted wild flowers grow in the foreground as a leaning rural mailbox contains the daily newspaper. If you look closely in the flowers you will see a hidden rabbit.
Masterpiece! Amazing!

Terrific!
True craftmanship again Wayne. How I adore your amazing palette!
Love this, back in the UK my Grandad had an old grey diesel "Fergie" that was addicted to easy start, I learned to drive I when I was 11 and fell in love with tractors of any kind from that point. Used it to collect our hay every year until grandad passed. Fantastic painting, great memories 🙏
The whole painting is so beautiful and the tractor looks like Paw just hopped off to get a glass of iced tea and a sandwich that Maw brought out to him. I love it!
This is beautiful in every way, love it.
